2024-2025 Community Grant Awards
We’re excited to share updates about our recent grant cycle! We received 46 valid applications from October 1 to November 1, 2024, totaling $405,017 in funding requests. That’s more than double what was allocated for the 2024-2025 Community Grant cycle.
To help us better understand each grant request, our dedicated committee of 23 Rotarians conducted visits and interviews, focusing on the specific needs and potential impacts of each application. After thoughtful discussion and evaluation, we’re thrilled to announce 34 grant awards, totaling $190,100!
Here are some interesting highlights from this round of grants:
- The funding amounts range from $700 to $15,000.
- We’re delighted to announce that 7 nonprofits will be receiving their very first Rotary Community Grant!
- Out of the applicants, 18 nonprofits will receive full funding, while 16 will receive partial funding.
- 79% of our awards—27 in total—are going to Bainbridge-based nonprofits, including our Bainbridge Parks & Recreation District and Bainbridge Island School District. The remaining 7 awards (21%) are going to off-island organizations located in Kitsap County that serve Bainbridge residents as well.
Rotary is able to provide these grants because of our amazing community of Auction donors, volunteers, sponsors, and shoppers. Together, we are supporting these essential organizations, and our region is so much stronger, healthier, and more vibrant thanks to them.
