The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island has successfully completed another chapter in its long history of hosting this enormously successful community event! The preliminary results have been released.

Although the Club gets credit for the success of the Sale, in truth, its success is the result of many, many hours of work from community members as well as Club members. The sheer size and scope of the event would be impossible without their contributions! “We are tremendously grateful to the many volunteers, donors, and shoppers who participated,” says Adam Matschek, 2019 Auction Chair, “and we want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to each and everyone of them.
The Sale is the Club’s major fundraiser; the net proceeds are used to fund the Club’s programs which include grants to community non-profits, grants to students who participate in athletic programs, grants for larger community projects, scholarships and youth programs, international humanitarian projects, literacy and preparedness programs, and other programs. The Club is very conscious of our need to be good stewards over the use of these funds which really belongs to the community. The Club’s decisions are guided by Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self”, and by Rotary’s “4 Way Test” which enumerates 4 philosophical principles that every Rotarian is asked to embrace.
